We look forward to welcoming you back to the Swindon Railway Festival in 2021. Thank you for your continued support in these challenging times.
Experience the amazing detail of 29 model railways and get up close to famous steam engines - All in one event!
Taking place throughout the Museum, this festival combines all the wonderful displays at STEAM with a feast of model rail layouts as we celebrate the GWR and all things railway.
Whatever your age, there is something for all generations.
Families will love the special children's interactive model railways, activity trails and dedicated play areas.
You'll get the chance to explore our new exhibitions too: 'On the Buses - Exploring the Countryside with the GWR', 'Flying High - With Railway Air Services', and 'Twix Rail and Sea - the Story of GWR shipping'.
For modelling enthusiasts, we have some fascinating demonstrations lined up. Specialist modellers will be at hand for a chat and to give tips and advice on construction and weathering techniques.
Trade stands inside the Museum will be stocked with model railway items, railway art, railway books and memorabilia for all your railway bargains.
