We intend this first venture to provide good examples of O gauge modelling which is easy to navigate. This does not replace any of our other usual events. Entry will be via the Gauge O Guild website.       - An O Gauge Virtual Show

  • Sat 31st October 2020

  • OPENING TIMES:  SATURDAY 9.30am - 5.00pm
There has been a lot of interest in having a virtual O gauge show especially because the Covid-19 restrictions have resulted in many exhibitions being cancelled. We intend this first venture to provide good examples of O gauge modelling which is easy to navigate. This does not replace any of our other usual events. Entry will be via the Gauge O Guild website. Regular updates will be available on the front page of Gauge O Guild Website.

The doors will open on the Gauge O Guild website at 09:30am on 31st October. Entry will lead to a navigation page (The Main Hall) where you will find various areas to visit so that you can enjoy layouts, demonstrations, traders, technical sessions, Guild products and there will also be a modelling competition. When you are finished in one area, you can go back to the main hall and visit another area or join a Live session which will be listed in our 'Timetable of Live Activities'
There are 16 layouts, 25 demonstrations, over 100 traders and several 'Live' activities available during the day. Live sessions will be recorded and the whole show will be available to visitors on the website for 2 weeks after the event.

The modelling competition will be run by the Technical Committee using the same categories and criteria used for Guildex. Photographs of the models will be collated on Flickr and then on the day of the show there will be a link to the competition entries so that you can look at the photographs and vote on line.
There will be information about Guild membership and publications and merchandise

The day is free of charge and will be open to members and non-members.
We will get feedback at the end of the event to see what worked well and what can be improved and we hope that a virtual exhibition may become an added extra to our portfolio of Guild events.
Updated information as it becomes available will be posted on the Guild web site.
