| 14th August 2011 - OnTracks Announces Exclusive Scenery Training Day |

OnTracks the Herefordshire based retailer of model railway products is delighted to announce it has teamed up with German scenery manufacturer Noch to run a scenery training day here in the UK.
These days are incredibly popular in Noch’s home country, Germany, and as major Noch retailers for over 10 years, OnTracks were keen to bring the opportunity to British railway modellers.
Fiona Mulhall, OnTracks MD explained “Noch are celebrating their 100th Birthday this year, we in turn have been Noch retailers for 10 of those years and know how innovative the companies products are. We’ve seem an incredible growth interest in some of their unique products from our customers, but know many more would like to try their hand at trying out some of Noch’s products whilst developing their skills at the same time.
So we’ve been working closely with the Noch’s UK importers, Gaugemaster, and Modelrail.Tv to create a suitable one day programme covering the best bits of scenery creation.
And best of all we think the central location – our training day will take place at a hotel beside the Birmingham International Airport & BR stations - will mean it’s accessible to lots of the UK population.
We will of course be providing a lunch during the event for guests and free parking for those wishing to drive to the event”
The event will cost £99 per person and be held on FRIDAY the 7th October 2011. Interested potential uests should visit our special website or ring our office for further information.
The day will include:
Presentations and hands on assistance in creating a demonstration diorama which guests will take away with them.
- Creating the terrain – adding height to a landscape
- Vegetation – different types and application methods of grass and foliage coverings.
- Getting water effects right – using different materials for each type of water
- Realistic rocks, paths and adding details to make your diorama unique.
Lunch and refreshments during the day

10th August 2007 - BRITAIN'S MODEL RAILWAY ENTHUSIASTS JOIN TREE PLANTING CAMPAIGN

Britain's model railway enthusiasts are supporting a green initiative aimed at protecting woodland and planting trees for future generations.
Campaign organisers award-winning on-line model railway retailer,
OnTracks.co.uk, offer an amazing range of over 35,000 modelling and hobby products, including the famous Hornby range - making OnTracks the world’s largest on-line specialist hobby retailer.
With almost 15,000 hits on its website everyday, the company is mobilising the world of model railway to help protect Britain’s trees by supporting the Woodland Trust.
As part of its green, carbon neutral delivery service, OnTracks is donating part of the delivery charge (£1) for each model railway item to the Woodland Trust’s tree planting scheme.
Tim Mulhall, Director of OnTracks.co.uk, welcomed the growing support of railway modellers for the tree-planting scheme:
“Climate change is very topical at the moment, but we mustn’t lose sight of the importance of protecting and planting trees locally, nationally and
around the world. Trees are an important part of our national heritage, history and environment and we decided as a company to support the work of the Woodland Trust. Thousands of our model railway customers are demonstrating their support for our campaign each time they order a locomotive, wagon or length of train track.”
OnTracks.co.uk is planning to donate its first cheque to the Woodland Trust during National Tree Week in mid November. |
