Modell Ost provides a locomotive and rolling stock kit and scratch building service for 4mm, O, and 1 standard and narrow gauges, focusing on the small and obscure prototypes.
As well as one-off commissions, it is planned to offer
Particular locomotives for near-immediate delivery in small series'. Current
Production plans for 2011 feature the NLR Park designed 0-6-0 tank locos in
7mm, and a Deutz OMZ in 16.5 scale English 1/43 scale narrow gauge.
Longer term projects include the OBB Uh 0-6-2 in 1/45 scale, and possibly a
BBO / KuKStb. 56 class Cn2 outside frame tender locomotive in 1/45 and/or
1/32 scale (For 45mm standard gauge).
All locomotives - whether kit or scratch built - will now feature 1/16 inch
/ 1.6 MM mainframes, with keeper plate axle retention, and will feature
Machined or cast brass components instead of whitemetal where practicable.

4th May 2008 - Beattie 2-4-0 Well Tanks in 4mm and 7mm scales from Modell Ost
Orders are now being taken by Modell Ost for a batch of 12 Beattie Well Tanks - six in 4mm scale and another six in 7mm scale.
Based on either the Roxy Mouldings kit in O scale, or the Falcon Brassworks (ex. Jidenco) kit in 4mm/ft scale, these will represent the locos as running in their final BR days, with 'Southern' lettered versions as an option.
Delivery of the first completed examples is timetabled for July/August 2008.
Price will include VAT, insured carriage to a UK mainland address and a 12 months warranty.
