	IRDOT Infrared Train Detection, 2 3 and 4 aspect automatic signal controls. Station stops DC and DCC, shuttles shuttles with sidings, automatic passing loops. We use infra red detection to activate many of our products and for train detection. This works in both the light and dark, for DC and DCC, requires no modifacation to rolling stock and detects all rolling stock. A hole is made between the sleepers and the infra red beam is reflected off the underside of the rolling stock. For example our MAS Sequencer board operates a 2, 3 or 4 aspect signal; after passing the signal the train reaches the detector and the signal changes to red. After leaving the detector an adjustable timer takes the signal through every aspect. A non timer version, the IRDASC-4, can be used to give the correct aspect depending on the signal ahead. Wiring is simple and junctions are easily signalled. Route indicator versions are also made.
