Fantastic range of stock, now in the new shop, no problem in placing orders if not on show. Sometimes able to park outside or large carparks nearby.

I recently returned to railway modelling and was advised to visit malcs models. My first visit to the shop was amazement at such a well stocked establishment, and then all the staff were so friendly , helpful, and to my amazement gave free advice, even to the point of how to save money on purchases. As I run my own business, my free time is limited, so I am only able to visit the shop occasionally , but everyone remembers me and makes me feel really welcome, even if I only need advice. I usually leave the shop with a bag full of goodies, and still with money in my pocket. I would freely recomend malcs models to anyone in modelling, they are the best around

Sadly i've not been in for a while due to other commitments but was very pleasantly surprised indeed by the new shop layout. The n-gauge products in particular now have a commanding position reflecting the fact that this scale has seen a big leap forward in quality over the last few years. Farish (Bachmann) and Dapol are well represented at malc’s. If you are stuck for space, N is no longer the poor relation and whatever period you wish to model there's now such a good selection of rolling stock that you may be almost spoiled for choice. malc's belief that there's no such thing as a "Silly question" Still means a lot to me and is one of the reasons why this friendly well-stocked shop deserves to do well. It's on my doorstep - that's true, but would be worth travelling a long way for. if you fancy swapping some of your stuff (Maybe you've had a change of heart with regard to period for example), malc always gives a fair part-exchange for good quality well looked-after items so it's worth asking before considering auctioning your things off. Less hassle, and keeps the shop in stock of affordable second hand models - often with enhanced detailing too. A veritable fountain of knowledge, easy parking (Some free), excellent stock of most scales/gauges. British, continental and even American :-) customers be aware - you may be infected by the contagious, friendly atmosphere at malc's and will return time and again.
If you are travelling a long distance it may be worth checking ahead to confirm opening times.
