Well recommended model shop, richard is the owner who is very friendly indeed, with all the equipment required to run your model railway. His DDC knowledge is second to none. The shop is like a ladins cave, full of models to look at. Most enjoyable visit. Every time I go! With free parking and other shops at dagfields for the whole family, it is a must for the railway modeller.

Owner very helpful and knowledgeable and always has time for giving advice about products, I recently purchased a Hornby locomotive and was able to inspect the model and had a DCC chip fitted there and then. Shop has recently been extended (May 2011) and more items are on display with a very good range of RTR models in both 00 and N gauge as well as scenic accessories. Easy parking as dagfields has a large free carpark.

Wow, what a great model shop. Have used it now for the past few years to get all my OO guage railway models. Richard the owner is very helpful, very friendly chap. Loads of stock and at great prices too. Worth a visit if your in the area.

Back to railway modelling after thirty-five years, I visited trident trains (Jan 2010)after seeing the recommendations on this site. I was interested to see what was new and to learn about digital control. I mentioned that I was only looking at the moment but the owner couldn't have been more helpful, and not only went over the rudaments of dcc but had pleasure in displaying the locos' with sound. I was amazed by the realism (Like seeing a sound film after silent movies)the owner is very knowledgable about the models and their real-life counterparts. Trident trains, although a small shop, is very well stocked with everything the railway modeller could require, especialy for 'OO' and 'N' guage.Secondhand items are also sold.Parking is easy, and there's plenty for family members to browse in the other shops nearby if they so wish. The owner's enthusiasm is infectious and we had a good laugh !

When I decided that the time was right to return to railway modelling I visited a few retailers in the area doing some research, trident trains was the only one that seemed happy to advise despite being told that I was not yet ready to purchase. The owner is not only very helpfull but friendly and well priced as well. Hence I now make all my purchases here.

The gentleman is helpful, knowledgabe, speedy and pleasant, and the shop is extemely well stocked. there is plenty of parking nearby and I found the shop a good place to browse in. Smashing place.

An excellent range of stock in 00 and N with DCC in both guages. There is always a good range of secondhand stock. There appears to be a good range of scenic materials. The proprieter is most helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable only beaten by the Online discount retailers. Plenty of free parking
