Back to railway modelling after thirty-five years, I visited trident trains (Jan 2010)after seeing the recommendations on this site. I was interested to see what was new and to learn about digital control. I mentioned that I was only looking at the moment but the owner couldn't have been more helpful, and not only went over the rudaments of dcc but had pleasure in displaying the locos' with sound. I was amazed by the realism (Like seeing a sound film after silent movies)the owner is very knowledgable about the models and their real-life counterparts. Trident trains, although a small shop, is very well stocked with everything the railway modeller could require, especialy for 'OO' and 'N' guage.Secondhand items are also sold.Parking is easy, and there's plenty for family members to browse in the other shops nearby if they so wish. The owner's enthusiasm is infectious and we had a good laugh !

When I decided that the time was right to return to railway modelling I visited a few retailers in the area doing some research, trident trains was the only one that seemed happy to advise despite being told that I was not yet ready to purchase. The owner is not only very helpfull but friendly and well priced as well. Hence I now make all my purchases here.

The shop is excellent. Well stocked and the prices are reasonable. The retailer is knowledgeable and always willing to offer help and advice. there is no pressure to buy. some good second hand items

The gentleman is helpful, knowledgabe, speedy and pleasant, and the shop is extemely well stocked. there is plenty of parking nearby and I found the shop a good place to browse in. Smashing place.

An excellent range of stock in 00 and N with DCC in both guages. There is always a good range of secondhand stock. There appears to be a good range of scenic materials. The proprieter is most helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable only beaten by the Online discount retailers. Plenty of free parking

I think that trident trains is a brilent littel shop it has oo and N ,and it sells new , second ,hand and older train such as honrby o gauge and triang. so its the best model shop i have ever been to , as i say cheap ,chearfull and good quality iteams.
