A nice museum, good value, entertaining, shop is helpfull and friendly. Plenty of parking. I have visited it half a dozen times.

Nice little shop, some lovely gauge 1 trains on display! Regular oo & n stuff a bit pricey, and very few sale items, but they stock the best range of scenic scatters i've seen anywhere in the uk (their own brand). I visit every time i'm in wales, at least twice a year.

Great place to visit for modeling and fun, the shop runs two or three narrow gauge rides mainly diesel, i do tend not to visit in summer holiday times. The shop has a good range of stock, the staff are helpful and knowledgeable, definitely worth a visit especially if you have the next generation of modellers in tow.

Great little shop, this is where I get all my scenic scatters from - their own range is superb, much better than mainstream suppliers. Very friendly, lots of bits n bobs for the serious modeller, as well as crowd pleasers. I make sure and visit every time Im up North - excellent.

This is a brilliant shop, where service and customer care are paramount. If it isnt in stock (and thats unlikely!) colin, the owner, will do his best to get it for you. full marks to a good, old-fashioned store where customers come first - and are guaranteed to want to come back again! It should also be noted that there are some wonderful displays in the shops attached museum area (well worth a look for the serious enthusiast!), and a 7 1/4 gauge railway line outside, featuring diesel and steam engines on which all ages can ride for a small fee, and an electric tram on 15 gauge which also offers rides for a small fee. (incidentally, the museum also houses a fantastic model of britannia on the same scale as the tram.)
