Previously submitted Customer Comments Jim Bottle , Wimborne, Dorset. - 04 Nov 2011 - 8/10 I visited this shop today after a visit to nearby auctions selling railway items proved to be well overpriced. The first impression is of a small site which could have parking problems when busy. Reverse into the car park if you can as the passing traffic does so at speed and reversing out will be hazzardous. Once inside, you`ll find a proverbial alladins cave of locos, rolling stock and scenery items. The layout was being changed when I was in the shop, not sure if this was to add more lines, improve the layout or both. There is a selection of discontiued lines, a few special offers. There is a selection of "Larger" Scales but they`re not of interest to me I cannot comment on the stock. On thing that did surprise me is the lack of price tickets, but there are bar code readers available for customers to use, just like there is in your local supermarket. It`s not there to catch you out, just a different way of doing things it has been said that the two proprieters are mad! Well I can`t answer that as only one of them was visibly present, but if she`s anything to go by ! But you will get left alone to browse apart from being asked if you would like a hot drink, they come highly recommended! keep up the good work ladies and staff! Keith Farmer , NSW Australia - 12 Aug 2010 - 1/10 In June I ordered and paid for stock advertised on their website. The website states overseas customers will be contacted prior despatch of orders. This did not happen. After I emailed them they gave me the postage cost and said it would have been sent by airmail on 25 June(no other details).It is now 7 weeks later and no sign of the goods. To make matters worse they do not answer emails(they are returned to sender). I have never had this problem with any other retailer either in the uk or australia.I have requested either replacement or refund of money paid)but have not received a reply. Dave Rockey , Exeter - 10 Dec 2009 - 10/10 This shop is well worth a visit as not only do they have a tremendous variety of products at reasonable prices, the staff (Especially the owner) are always welcoming and are happy to discuss your requirements or just let you browse for as long as you like. More often than not you will be offered a cup of tea or coffee and, if really lucky, the occasional biscuit!! I always enjoy a visit here and their bargain bins are well worth a rummage.
