The shop name is deseptive, but he has quite an extensive range of N gauge equipment, and will happly do orders. I always come out with something. Parking is easy as he is quite near the newgent centre so your partner and shop at M&S and many othe stors while I can go to KGR. A most useful local model shop Neale Monks , Hertfordshire - 14 Apr 2012 - 10/10 Outstanding store; easily the best in the london area for n-scale modellers (Which is a bit ironic, given the name of the store). New premises spacious and far better than before. Huge selection of farish wagons and coaches, and a good selection of farish locomotives; some Dapol and peco stuff as well. Competitive prices on these, plus some bargains, especially on the used rolling stock. Good range of scenic materials and kits (Woodland scenics, ratio, etc.). Some scratch-building materials (Plastic, brass, etc.) and electronic components. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Not local for me, but definitely added to my list of places to visit when in london. Dave Monkhouse , S.e. London - 25 Oct 2011 - 9/10 Well stocked an run by an enthusaitic helpful and very knowledgable owner - massively improved since moving to new larger premises next door to the old shop. Convenient for ST mary cray station, and easy parking right by the shop - you can also park in the nugent shopping centre and leave your wife to shop at the nugent (M&S, debenhams, laura ashley, next, mothercare, WHS waterstones, maplins, costa coffee etc) while you pop over the road to indulge youself at KGR. Raymond Markesteyn , Dordrecht The Netherlands - 26 Sep 2011 - 9/10 We went in yesterday and bought three loco's, very nice shop and the owner is very helpfull and friendly, a lot of nice second hand loco's as well as brand new ones in OO gauge, sure worth a visit Paul Plummer , Bexleyheath, Kent - 11 Aug 2011 - 9/10 The shop has moved to the former car spares/barbers premises next door. The sales area is now at least three times as large (With a seperate room for garden railway wagons and coaches). The shop now has space to move around in and the amount of stock on display has increased significantly. I went for a nose round recently and spent over £80! David Lungley , Swanley Kent - 19 Jun 2011 - 9/10 I have been here several times now and never come away empty handed, there is no room to move in this shop due to a) shop being on the small side & B) its rammed out with stock. Staff very pleasant and knowledgeable and I found prices reasonable. Will be going back as he is moving next door in the next couple of weeks which is a lot bigger, definately be able to see what stock he has then. John Flannery , Colindale, London Nw9 - 17 Oct 2010 - 9/10 This shop is small but packed to the brim with a vast range of models. Don't let the name fool you -there are lots of OO and N gauge products available as well as lots of larger gauge locos, stock and track for garden operators. Owner very friendly and helpful - gave me good advice on DCC chips and contollers and help on sound fitted locos too. it is a fair trip for me (and it is a good 10 minite walk from ST mary cray station), but I always walk out of the shop with either a wagon (Or 10) or a loco i've been looking for! All new OO and N locos and stock normally discounted by 10%, usually a wide range of recent hornby/dapol/Bachmann releases, some second hand available as well. Books and most catalouges also available. always an enjoyable shop to visit, makes the trip worthwhile!
