Jack Milland , Spalding - 19 Oct 2009 - 8/10 Vistied this shop many times on my travels over the years, whilst a bit untidy at times due to it being a busy working shop, i found the staff most helpful. I think the public forget that not everything is available all of the time. They had all but one item i wanted in stock which is good for today's modern times and i found the staff were friendly and knowlegable and the shop si well worth a visit. We were impressed by the owner's helpful approach and knowledge of various areas (specifically model railways and radio control vehicles). He was certainly more helpful than some larger stores we had visited in London. He was good at locating the items that I was looking for and suggesting alternatives when these were unavailable specifically some OO model railway items that are very hard to find in America. We had a long discussion on radio control issues (mostly on nitro powered vehicles). The range of items in stock belies the very small floor space. The somewaht crowded front window gave a very precise indication of what to expect in the shop and the range of goods sold. We are model shop (hobby store) owners in the USA (Hobbytime, Auburn MA) and are well used to the behavior and knowledge level of store staff that define a good store to deal with.
