My mate recently give me his kato N gauge to sell and decided to improve the layout and discovered that L&B also stock kato track, peter also knocks a couple pence off if it helps. I've tried e-bay but L&B beat their prices hands down and you don't have to wait for the auction to end! Recently needed a airbrush line for a iwata airbrush iwata website was usless but-hobbycraft price £13.99, L&B £4.95 how good is that huh? They stock every thing that you ever want for your model railway and in any gauge, well worth a visit. L&B have an extensive stock of new and pre owned models all at good prices. I liked the atmosphere of the shop and the proprietor, not sure if he was lord or butler?, was very enthisiastic and knowledgeable. Although cardiff is a bit of a jouney from hythe in kent I intend to make a return visit. Thank you for making me welocome. Pricewise, they are not as cheap as some of the big boys:however there are good buys in every department if you burrow or ask. had a hilarious time carrying a lot of scenery items to the till:dropped one and someone exclaimed "Crackerjack"And there were hoots of laughter and reminiscing.We're of that age, I suppose. Good range of items which you can examine before you buy.Owners very knowledgeable about their stock and railways generally Charles Burke , Rhondda Mid-glam. - 09 Sep 2011 - 1/10 They sold me second hand items when I asked and paid for new they did replace them when I asked but I had to make a trip to cardiff they could have increased there sales to me by offering other related products but did not seem to be interested. Bernard Davies , Barry - 17 May 2010 - 8/10 Please be aware that the owners have now concentrated the business on to the pump house on penarth road. The shop in wyndham crescent is now used primarily for the dirty boy weathering service (As a workshop) and access is I beleive by appointment. They do a selection of 'off the shelf' models weathered and will do commissions on your own models if required. The standard of the weathering is excellent and you can specify the level you wish it to be taken to. Well worth visiting
