I visited on 5th July as someone who was on holiday nearby. The shop really is crammed full of stock for all sorts of things including model trains, dolls' houses, loads of plastic kits of planes, etc.
I nearly purchased an Oxford Rail Adams Radial for 30% off but self control prevailed for the moment. There is always mail order!

Astonishingly good. Rammed with model railway stock, dolls house parts, model kits and very good selection of paints, tools, glues, Evergreen and Plastruct, Albion Alloys and KS Metals, balsa etc. The website is a reliable indicator of the stock, if it says in stock then it is actually in stock. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly and you feel free to browse at your own leisure. Top class shop in a town that is well worth a visit in itself with plenty of interest for everyone. The shop is at the top of a steep cobbled street so those that seek easy access should consider parking at the top of the hill when visiting the shop and maybe parking elsewhere when visiting the rest of the town.

Absolutely crammed with an amazingly extensive range of kits and modelling products (See website); staff very helpful and friendly. Worth a substantial detour (And climbing steep hill to keep you fit!)

Excellent proper model shop, with everything you might need. I collect slot cars and the selection was excellent with the very latest scalextric releases through to a good selection of carrera, ninco and revell. Also good collection of track and spares should you need it. What I picked had a cracked box and there was no argument in knocking 10% off which was very reasonable. Seems to have good stock of airfix, trains, lego and general crafting bits, along with lots more. Couldn't recommend this place more highly.
