What a superb shop. Very good prices, and a very friendly welcome. Richard is a superb shopkeeper, he has a very wide range of stock, and most importantly treats every customer (regular or not) as a friend, this shop is my local model shop as far as i am concerned, his prices compare very well with the big discount retailers (e.G rails, hattons etc), but above all, his personal service to the customer is second to none, and nothing is too much trouble, be it a newcommer to the hobby wanting advice, to a seasoned modeller, indeed on my second visit after a 3 month gap he remembered both me and my wife. this shop illustrates what all model railway shops should be like. definately worth a visit. 10/10

Must rate as the best shop i have visited. Its like dropping in on an old friend. An aladdin's cave, you never know what you may find. Like that hornby dmu centre car or lima mk 1s. A compulsory first stop when in the area!

One of the best shops in the country. Stock sold at reasonable prices with lots of multi-buy offers on trucks and coaches. Owner is very friendly and willing to offer advise and if your become a regular visitor he even remembers you.

Walking into the shop is like taking a step back in time. Here is a proprietor who is truly in the business for the love of the hobby and an eagerness to share his years of modeling experience with fellow entusiasts. This is one of the best shops for miles. The owner will happily get out and run any model on his test track, and does not push at all to sell. Always a good range and always some good second hand stuff, as well as some new stuff on special offer. Prices are keen - a little above some of the internet traders, but certainly very competitive and generally below the makers catalogue costs. Highly recommended
