Had a look round, without any hassle from the owner. When paying for my purchase he said that if I had any problems to ring him for advice. Couldn't reccomend this shop and owner more highly. David Hinchliffe , Lytham ST. Annes - 29 Oct 2010 - 10/10 Visited the train shop for the first time today. A very well stocked shop for both OO and N gauge. The owner couldn't do enough for me. I decided on an N gauge class 47 and he insisted I see it running before I purchased it. Even though the shop got busy (he obviously has a lot of returning custom) he spent time testing the loco and making sure I was happy with my purchase. I would highly recommend a trip to the train shop if you are in the area, and I shall certainly be going back. I have bought a number if items here always at good prices and with first class advice from richard the proprietor. Smallish shop, but crammed with goodies. Visitors should note that the shop is not open on a Wednesday. Not to be missed if you are in the area, and well worth a detour from the lakes for modellers on holiday in the region. I only get to go there once or twice a year, and yet am always remembered even though I am not a massive spender. The owner lets you browse without hassle, but is always happy to chat. This is what a model shop should be, I would recommend anyone in the area to visit. Morecambe has been done up a lot in recent years, so it's worth spending the day. Richard has excellent knowledge of the industry, is very very helpful, and an all-round nice guy! One of my favourite shops.
