The Model Railway Store is an exciting and vibrant new model railway store who are suppliers of new, pre owned and vintage model trains and collectors toys. We have a very good selection of new model trains from Hornby, Bachmann in OO gauge and from Graham Farish and Peco in N gauge. We also have a good stock of Peco and Hornby track in OO and N gauge. In addition to this the store has a wide selection of modelling aids.
We have a beautiful digital layout which is fully operational and we can provide demonstrations on request. In the store or available to order, we have a good selection of digital locomotives and power equipment.
You will find an extensive range of pre owned and vintage model railway items, from Hornby Dublo ,Triang and Wrenn from the 1950s and 1960s. In addition we have a good selection of other makes in both OO and N gauges. This includes locomotives coaches, wagons and accessories.
In addition to model railways we also sell vintage Dinky Toys, Lesney- Matchbox Toys, Corgi Toys and other diecast models.
We also have a service and repair department if your own model railway locomotives need some attention.

An excellent shop with just the right balance of new and second hand models at competitive prices. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and willing to demonstrate models on a test layout. Definitely worth a visit, I will certainly be returning there once my bank account has recovered!

I only recently discovered this shop, but having done so I will now be very reluctant to visit any of the other larger suppliers in the area. Stock levels are excellent and there is an amazing selection of pre-owned models in all the popular scales, at very reasonable prices. The owner is clearly very knowledgeable and is prepared to 'go the extra mile' to please his customers. so far I cannot fault the service, and I wish other model shops were as friendly and welcoming!

This shop has a wide, although not deep selection of the leading manufacturers in 0, 00 and N gauges; both new and secondhand . Secondhand includes a reasonable selection of Hornby 00 and triang. There is also some stock of new and used road vehicles, buildings and senery items. if you like a brouse, and the site of a model railway running in the middle of the shop go along. If you want a specific item, ring first!
