The big Online businesses will always win on price, but when it comes to that must have component or the accessory that just finishes off a scene on your layout, well we're all lost without retailers like this one. Yes its chaotic and when I dropped in I had to dance around a friend of a friend of the owner who was helping re-organise a display. But I was treated like an old friend. When the kettle went on, I was offered a mug of tea and plenty of helpful advice. There's an excellent range of second hand, hard-to-get items which is always a plus.I live miles from this business but will often try and drop in on small independent retailers when on my travels. Never before though have I been made so welcome and left so keen to pay a return visit when i'm next in the area. The shop deals in old and new so if your looking for that special something and can't find it anywhere else I would go to see jim and his team because chances are he will have it or can get it. Furthermore, jim is very honest and will tell you where to go if he doesn't have what your looking for. Superb friendly atmosphere. Well worth a visit and the bonus is that transport links are superb i.e. Metrolink is a quater of a mile away from the shop, the m60 is two minutes away from the shop and there is plenty of bus links. He showed daniel everything he asked for & Broke out the biscuits! We had a problem is a second hand traini bought. Took it back & Swapped it, no questions asked. stock wise, everything I asked him for he had & Same for accessories. parking is a doddle & a chippy is across the road. jim's shop is the first place I now go to for all my rolling stock & Accessories.
