This is my new local model shop, but is a model shop in the general sense not a dedicated model rail shop. Indeed the stock reflects what appears to be the owner's main interests, "boys toys", high quality radio controlled models and scalectrix - indeed i can't remember last seeing a collection of scalectrix as large as to be found here. But that really isn't my thing, the model rail side of the shop appears to be aimed at the "train set" side of the market. No bad thing in itself but's not the place to go if you're looking for something out of the ordinary. It's all rtr at list price or thereabouts. But, there is a big plus, as i mentioned earlier this is a shop for modellers, they stock a really great range of tools, plastic card, balsa, mod roc and so forth which is a great help for the scratch builder. Very friendly staff let you have a really good look at (and test where appropriate) your potential purchases without any "hard sell" and the facility to special order has been offered (although not yet taken up by me). Lots of interesting bits and pieces also on display such a mamod steam engines (appear to be good prices), plenty of room to move around with well set out displays. Well worth a visit if passing by and if local great for the tool side of things.
