I went to take some second hand railway for exchange. I had traveled a distance and the staff offered me a seat aand a fantastic cup of tea. The appraisal was not lengthy and I came away with everything I had initially wanted... the staff are extremely helpful, understanding and offered me a very understanding explanation to all my questions.i would go out of my way again to visit this friendly well stocked and very well run shop again thank you rails of Sheffield for making a very long trip so very worth while

Visited the shop on a Saturday morning - the shop had several customers being attended to by a number of staff. As I was only passing by, I only had time to have a quick look round. Good new stock levels in well labelled cabinets in a number of different scales. I was surprised not to find any secondhand stock but I guess this is all sold on ebay these days. There were some secondhand scenery items, though. However, in the window was the most incredible array of military rail vehicles - Literally hundreds of 00 gauge models for sale. Parking was easy (I parked right outside but there was parking in a nearby car park) if I live nearby i'd return again and will do if I pass by again.
If you are travelling a long distance it may be worth checking ahead to confirm opening times.
