I passed this shop many times and made the mistake of thinking that because it was small, there would be a very limited choice of over-priced models. Big mistake! the shop may be very small, but it is crammed with a wide range of stock. What they don't have in, they can order. The owners are very friendly and really care about models and making sure you get what you want. So far, i've not bought a thing at full price. I have now been there a few times and I will keep going back. They know their product range, give good advice and don't just try to sell you the most expensive thing they think they can push on you. I asked the other day if they had a working mail coach in stock. The same day, they phoned back to say that although they didn't have one 'boxed' they'd be happy to split a set up and sell me the coach from a full Hornby set. They also charged me less than the mornal cost of the coach as it wasn't boxed. Despite them having to break up a full set to do it. I don't know many shops that would do that to make sure you got what you wanted. they do have unusual opening hours though. Although the website says they open at 10:30am weekdays, is can often be a little later than that. They do open later in the evenings though than a lot of shops. It might be a good idea if you don't live close, to give them a ring before you set out.

An aladin's cave of model railway stock. A very wide range of items all at very resonable prices. Didn't have some of what I wanted but has ordered them straight away. Owner seams to have an extensive knowledge of the subject. Very helpfull will go back again.

Superb in all respects. A small shop on picturesque edwinstowe high street, right in the heart of robin hood country. Selling cards, stationery etc but with over half the shop dedicated to models. Fine selection of locos, rolling stock, accessories, buildings etc. OO and N gauge in abundance. Discounted prices on many of the items I saw plus a very friendly welcome with plenty of advice from the owner. Got everything I wanted but it was also clear that if something was not available then it would be ordered where possible. Open 7 days a week and with free parking right outside the door. Nothing was too much trouble - this is a gold mine!

Super friendly and very helpful. Lots of stock (Magazines, ice cream, models). Definitely going again. Worth visiting. The best model shop I have been to yet. Only wish I lived closer. Edwintowe is the friendliest town I have ever encounted.
