Excellent shop. They are responsible for opening my eyes to DCC when I first met them at a Toy and Train Fair many years ago as they first started in business. Always helpful and always prepared to explain. Importantly they will often recommend good but cheaper alternatives for some parts which produces a good, trusting relationship with customers. The shop in Lincoln has developed a lot and is now very well stocked. Thoroughly recommended.

Having purchased a number of sound cards (Zimo mainly) I recently made the journey from Heathrow to Lincoln to meet with the friendly team I have only talked with on the phone. Well worth the time (and cost). Helpful and friendly, and a lot of in-depth knowledge I am sure that all my future purchases of DCC equipment will be through Digitrains.

As the name suggests this shop is strictly model railways. Located short walk from Lincoln railway station on a kind of industrial estate. Good stocks of OO gauge. N gauge not so well represented, Farish only. Staff helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.

Very very pleasant and super staff who are extremely helpful. I am in the process of building an N gauge layout for my grandson. The demo layout they have is excellent as I am going down the dcc route and to be shown how it works with a practical demo. The knowledge of the staff is brilliant especially with wiring up my layout and providing all the basics as well as the all important bits. Nothing is too much trouble and the range of products that they stock is very good. Lincoln has at last a dedicated model railway shop it can be proud of.

Used to go to digitrains quite often at there previous location, digby. Now they are in lincoln, it's so much easier to get to. Always the same courteous, happy welcome is still there. I have had to have one or two of my dcc loco's checked for minor problems, usually because I have entered data onto the chip incorrectly. They have always offered god advice freely and in a simple that I can understand. The best place for model railway knowledge in lincoln.

My dealings with digitrains were initially at a show and subsequently via the phone / mail order and have to say that their service and helpfulness has always been first class. They are very knowledgeable, patient with beginners and their range of stock seems very comprehensive. I model ho german outline whereas they deal mainly with OO british but they have always been able to source german sounds for and solve problems with dcc in my german locos even swapping items for me when the original item does not fit. One day I will manage to make a stop in lincoln to see their shop in the flesh

They sorted out my muck-Ups with my dcc kit and did not laugh at me – first time – was entering the wrong train number in my nce power cab. Second time, ran new loco as dc to burn in, put in chip – then getting confused, I removed the chip and replaced blanking pin thinking this was the chip. When it did not work, sent it back. Thanks jeremy and crew for your patience and understanding.

This model shop offers excellent after sales service. I called in to the shop today with my digital controller that I had purchased from them some two years ago. I had always been unsure of how to make full use of it's capabilities. Not only did the staff explain things, but they took time to demonstrate my controller and my loco on their test track and upgraded my unit there and then at a very reasonable cost. How good is that in this day and age?! The only reason I didn't give this shop a full 10 stars is because the range of r-t-r is quite limited, and no second-hand. But this is because it is a specialist shop dealing with dcc. So if you need controllers, decoders, in fact anything dcc then this is the place for you. Professionalism at it's best.
