In the best traditions of Model Railroader (ongoing) and Railway Modeller from back in the 1980's, I am afraid this was intended as an April Fool as many of you guessed.
Well certainly the Bluetooth connection is.
However, Matthew Peddlesden emailed us and lo and behold it has been done already via speech recognition software on a PC.
So what is the next step ...... Bluetooth? Who knows.

Latest News from Matt:

"Bluetooth adaptors present the headset profiles as another audio device that looks and works identical to a standard sound card mic and headset.
So plug a £10 USB Bluetooth adaptor in, pair it up to a £10 bluetooth headset and you're running wireless and handsfree.

The current working title of the software is "Rail Director". I don't have a release date yet but I am hoping to bring it along to add to our existing DCC Workshop stand which visits many exhibitions around the country.
People will be able to see it working for themselves, and maybe even have a go.
I am also releasing the underlying DCC interface library for those budding developers who want to dabble at writing their own software to talk to their railway.
The interface it provides is non-technical and means you can focus on the fun rather that the protocol."

So the April Fool is actually on me!

Oh, and the movie is available on YouTube if you are interested.
