Riversdale depicts the Union Pacific Railroad in the California area in the 1940s and 1950s.
Based in era around 1945-50s depicting the Union Pacific Railroad in the California area, travelling through orange groves and deserts to the Union Pacific main station building at San Bernardina, with its now familiar row of palm trees that enhance the station on both sides.
It is noticeable that nearly all Union Pacific steam locomotives at that time were oil fired.
