The Society was formed in 2008 with the object of both providing a home for the many railway modellers residing in the Church Stretton area and to try to preserve a LNWR signal box threatened with demolition. The box is no longer required by Netwok Rail and they have agreed to donate it to the society for relocation on a site a few feet away from its present position close to an active railway line. When rebuilt it will be managed by a trust as a local attraction. |
