We are a broad based group of more than 60 members. All ranges of ability and experience are represented and new members at all stages of development are welcomed. Members are very willing to share their knowledge and experience. Projects range from 3.5mm/foot North American through to 7mm/foot freelance UK Steam Era. Large scale radio controlled AFVs (armoured fighting vehicles) have also been seen at times. Come and see how to expand your skills!

The Society was formed in 1925 by the late Arch Dean from whom we get the name of our headquaters Dean Hall. Dean Hall is open on Monday & Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm, and on Monday & Wednesday afternoons from 2.00pm until 4.00pm. We also have a formal meeting each month on a Friday evening in winter and on a Saturday afternoon in summer. Our website gives dates and times of these meetings and their subjects. We currently have 6 layouts under construction/operation from N to 0 gauge.
