Alfreton Model Railway Society operate the '00' gauge Model Railway at Butterley Station, Midland Railway Centre. Club nights are 7pm-10pm every Tuesday, new members welcome. We stock Hornby Model Railways and Second hand '00' gauge. in addition to club nights, we are open whenever the centre is!

CXMRS is a registered charity with the object of "Educating the public in all aspects of railways and model railways". New premises have been erected in the centre of Clay Cross, with access for the disabled. Work continues on the large finescale OO layout based on BR(LMS) and another based on Hindlow. Meeting at Whitfield Working Men's Club on Tuesday evenings at 8pm. We refurbished our Glossop layout and it was in our 2009 show that the club took the decision to sell Glossop after the show and that has happened. We now are discussing plans regarding the building of a new club layout although nothing has as yet been finalised. Visitors and new members are always welcome.

Model railway group having 2mm., 4mm, 7mm. and G scale layouts, some of which are portable and available for exhibitions. Worthington East is our large 4mm. Layout featuring a 4 track main line and large station which is at present being rebuilt in stages. Wychnor-on-Trent is our large 7mm. Layout based loosely on Burton-on-Trent in B.R. Steam days together with a brewery. We meet every Tues. Evening from 7-00pm onwards and hold 2 Open Day weekends at Easter and late Nov. Visitors are welcome.

Small friendly group of like minded souls, we have been around for 25 years and have produced mainly OO layouts, including Ashbrook Junction, Brean Sands and the legendary Cedar Park. We meet weekly and have our own exhiition each February. We also attend exhibitions from time to time with our club layouts,these are currently Woodside Lane Stabling Point and Heanor South,both have appeared in British Railway Modelling.

Also we have a Museum of Railway Relics. Excursions to preserved railways, railway centres, museums and other places of interest are run during the 'summer' months. Occasional slide shows etc. Are held. A Society Magazine "The Little Midlander" is issued four times a year. Friendly. New member
