Welcome to the Solihull N Gauge Model Railway Group

Current Members have a varied interest of modelling eras from pre-nationalisation (GWR and LMS) through BR Steam (Midland and Southern regions) to the BR Blue era of the late 1970s. Our main large layout measures 22ft by 10.5ft and, although still under construction, has been exhibited several times at the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition at the NEC. It consists of a 4 track main line, with a through station and large engine shed, and a single track branch line. A large fiddle yard ensures a variety of trains in operation. We also have a small end-to-end layout which consists of some of the boards from the main layout which together with some cassettes is complete and has been exhibited at several local exhibitions, including Wolverhampton, Sutton Coldfield and again Warley.
