Agenoria Models was established in 1995 by Pete Stamper to develop etched model loco kits, in a variety of scales and gauges, of the smaller types of steam locos that were principally employed on the relatively small, rather than large mainline, railways.
In 2010 this has been taken over by Mike Williams who intends to promote and extend the range to include further prototypes whilst retaining the concept of the original range.
This includes standard and narrow gauge locos employed on light and industrial railways. At the 1923 grouping many of the smaller railways were absorbed into the 'big four', with the GWR, in particular, acquiring many relatively small locomotives. Kits of such locos are also produced. I am always interested to hear your suggestions for kits, especially if you have any information.
The kits have been designed, for ease of assembly, with tabs and slots for location of parts. Loco bodies are of etched brass with etched nickel silver chassis. Components such as saddle tank, boiler, firebox, etc are pre-rolled. Castings are of white metal or lost wax brass. Wheel bearings, handrail knobs, wire and motor mount are included. Some gauge '0' kits contain sprung buffers. All parts except wheels, gears, motor and pick-ups are present in a basic kit, and a complete kit contains all components to produce a running unpainted model. Comprehensive stage-by-stage instructions with exploded part diagrams ensure that construction is as easy as possible.
