INFO and FEEDBACK
As we hope you can appreciate we cannot visit every Shop and Supplier in the country. So your help and assistance is always greatly appreciated.
Alas, sometimes shops do close and we are invariably not informed, so it is always best to ring ahead if you are planning to make a special journey. If you do find a shop listed that is closed, please let us know to help others.
You can submit information on the forms that are on the following pages of the website;
Events, Clubs, Layouts, Information and a General Enquiries form for everything else.
Also, if you know of any Supplier or Retailer that isn't listed, why not let us know. Fellow modellers will surely benefit.

The Railway & Modellers Junction
Please note this shop has MOVED to 15 Congreve Walk, as per the advert I saw in BRM. from the outside it looks more like a budget toy shop, and there were gaps on the shelves, so it did not look promising on the way in. However, there was a reasonable stock of new rolling stock and accessories at fair prices. The best feature was several trays of s/ hand stock at swapmeet prices, something I have not seen in a model shop for years. £10 triang Hymek anybody!? the proprietor was also happy to 'put the world to rights' and generally have a chat with somebody who had never visited before. Worth a look if in the area.
Ian Mitchell , Cheshire - 29 Dec 2008 - 7/10

S & R Models
Limited opening hours Thursday- Saturday, but a large stock of new and used 00 and N gauge items, plus lots of diecast and plastic vehicles and detailing items. Very much like a large swapmeet stall and all the better for it. Sometimes has some unusual stuff in. Also will keep your wants in a little black book in case they come in (but I am still waiting!!)
Ian Mitchell , Cheshire - 29 Dec 2008 - 8/10

Model Junction
Very helpful staff who are extremely knowledgeable. Vast majority of stock is American pattern HO but some N-gauge. Scenics are a strength and thankfully scale agnostic.
Barry Dyer , Watford, Hertfordshire - 20 Dec 2008 - 8/10

Addlestone Model Centre
A good find. Staff are helpful and friendly. Shop stocks a good range of materials as well as ready to run and kit rolling stock. Although relatively small, carries a reasonable selection of hornby, metcalfe and other makes.
Karl Parfitt , Reading, Berks, England - 05 Dec 2008 - 7/10

The Signal Box
Excellent shop - fantastic range of stock; informed, interested and friendly staff; good mail order service and competitive. Without doubt my favourite railway model shop by a country mile. Just wish it was closer to home!
Karl Parfitt , Reading, Berks, England - 05 Dec 2008 - 10/10

Shrewsbury Model Centre
To be in the Premier League, this company badly needs a website, and email contact available. I've been waiting for 10 days for a response to an eBay enquiry I posted. Until they get their website, they cannot deserve 5 stars...
Martyn Johnson , Penang, Malaysia - 05 Dec 2008 - 7/10

Great Eastern Railway Co
The shop has a comprehensive range of modelling accessories, for several raiway guages, plus an excellent range of die cast models. The staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble in helping you find what you want.

James Page , Walsall - 28 Nov 2008 - 9/10

Frome Model Centre
Visited this shop whilst on holiday in the summer and what a treasure trove of models. You name it and they have got it. Superb collection of model kits on offer and an excellent selection of Model Railway bits and bobs. Parking is a bit awkward as the main public car parks in Frome are at the bottom of the hill and the Model Centre is at the top of the hill, but it is well work the trouble.
Doey Hall , Sutton Coldfield - 25 Nov 2008 - 8/10

Model Junction
Huge range of products, the largest I've seen anywhere; always got plenty of new stuff and at great prices too. They're happy to order in and will take advance orders, making it easy to secure new items. Unusual for an online shop, they're open to the public a couple of days a week and you can visit on these days without appointment. Shop has easy access by car and ample parking on-site; alternatively it's only a short walk from a mainline railway station. Friendly, knowledgeable people, always willing to demonstrate products and discuss any aspect of model railroading. Can honestly say I get everything I need from Model Junction. If you're into American model railroading, I recommend you check out their excellent website and then plan a trip to Slough.
Dale Crowe , Sandhurst, Berkshire - 24 Nov 2008 - 10/10

A extensive stock covering all guages, I model OO guage and could easily spend hours, not to mention pounds sterling. The choice seems endless. Also caters for rc cars ect. A good size premises, a old chapel building. The advice given is good and all staff I have dealt with are pleasent, however some do not have much moddelling experience.
